BROOKLYN, NY – Roland Henegan, 35, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on Tuesday for an assault that took place at the Jay Street Subway Station in Downtown Brooklyn last year.

Henegan had previously entered a guilty plea to first-degree assault on July 26.

The incident occurred on July 5, 2022, at around 6 pm, involving a 55-year-old man who was punched and subsequently stabbed in the face and back by Henegan.

The victim required extensive medical treatment, including stitches and a jaw that had to be wired and screwed shut for several months.

The case was processed by Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez. Henegan has been sentenced to an additional five years of post-release supervision.
