Boardwalk Pro-Trump Rally Scheduled for March 25th in Seaside Heights

SEASIDE HEIGHTS-The national MAGA March is coming to Ocean County on March 25th when supporters of President Donald J. Trump hit the boards on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights.

The Seaside Heights march has been designated as the official MAGA March for New Jersey and is part of a national pro Trump effort.

“It is about time we stand up for America. We are marching for our President, Vice President, Military, and First Responders. We are the silent majority and we are ready for a real change,” the organization said on its website.  “A change for how our Veterans are treated when the focus seems to be somewhere else.”

Some officials in Seaside Heights are concerned about the possibility of organized counter protests to the event which celebrates the presidency of Donald J. Trump.   The borough would be on the hook for additional police presence and it may be necessary to enlist the help of outside agencies, including the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department should the alt-left attempt a disruption of the otherwise peaceful pro-American event.

At least one hotel has publicly offered discounts to those coming to the borough to attend the rally.

In Orange County, California, efforts to block the march led county officials to officially close the Costa Mesa fairgrounds the day of the national march.

The rally will feature several guest speakers, although none have officially been announced.

Trump Admin Refused Entry to Muslim Athlete Who Was Granted Visa by Chuck Schumer, Then Sexually Abused Child

LAKE SARNAC, NY-One of two muslim athletes from India who were rejected entry into the United States during the brief Trump administration extreme vetting process in January is back in the news this week after sexually assaulting a child shortly after he was granted access to enter.

Tanveer Hussain Parra and Abid Kahn were both refused entry into the United States, but after Senators Chuck “crybaby” Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand contacted the U.S. State Department, the two were allowed to enter.

In January, Schumer was shedding tears over Trump’s refusal to let men like Kahn and Hussein into America.

Schumer applauded the athletes’ arrival in New York,”Still a country that welcome athletes from across the globe to compete in our stadiums, our snow-covered fields and everywhere in between.”

Today, the parents of a young girl in Lake Sarnac are shedding tears after Hussein sexually assaulted their daughter.

According to a report published in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, Hussain was charged with felony first degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor.

The incident happened on Monday in the town of St. Armand in a swimming pool.  Hussein’s partner Khan said the girl followed the athletes during their stay and said she was “a nut case”.

Hussein and Kahn claim the young girl made up the story, but local police said other witnesses and social media evidence supports the charges against Hussain.

“He is not aware that she is minor in first place,” Kahn said. “We told him later that she is a minor. He doesn’t understand proper English, so he doesn’t know.”

“Come on, stop spreading lies and fake news. This is a good advice for CNN. Thank you,” Zakharova told the reporter.  “Please, stop spreading lies and false news.”

CNN used the moment to claim a victory in their struggling campaign to regain integrity.

Jackson Council Pulls Ordinance Targeting Orthodox Jewish Dormitories

The following is a brief recap of the February 28, 2017 Jackson Township council meeting.  A full story will follow later today.

JACKSON-When Jackson Township Council President Ken Bressi proposed a township wide ban on dormitories in his town, it was clear to everyone what the goal of that ordinance was and who the targets were.

In nearby Lakewood Township, home to Beth Medrash Govoha, one of the world’s largest Orthodox Jewish Yeshivas, most Jewish students live in dormitories, but some, in makeshift dormitories, sometimes in homes located in residential areas of the township.   Even though Jackson Township’s border is nearly 5 miles from the BMG campus, out of the required walking distance of the university, the township proposed the ban on dormitories.

These dormitories became a local spotlight in January when a fire at a makeshift Lakewood dormitory displaced 50 students.

Many in Jackson’s Orthodox community felt the ban on dormitories was a moot point since none currently exist and the likelihood of Yeshiva dormitories in the town is very low.  They felt the proposed law was simply another ordinance targeting members of their faith unfairly.

In the past, members of Jackson’s Orthodox community had approached the township council to offer advice and feedback, to work together to craft sensible ordinances that would help maintain the quality of life in town in a manner that would not be seen as a continued crackdown against members of their faith.  Those community leaders said their offer to support the council’s effort to maintain quality of life standards were flatly rejected.

On Tuesday night, as the township council was poised to pass the ordinance, an obvious effort to curb the growth and migration of the growing Orthodox Jewish population, they were met with with an audience of nearly two hundred Orthodox Jewish men who came to protest the action.

Upon seeing the large gathered crowd, the council quickly suspended their regular public business meeting and entered a private executive session, a rare action for the 5 member all-Republican board.

After a few minutes, the council returned to the public meeting and announced it would not be voting on the ordinance and it needed further legal and planning board review, admitting flaws in the manner in which the ordinance was proposed, reviewed and introduced.

The basic rundown…

  • A lawyer representing the Jewish community in town told the council it was one of the most anti-Semitic ordinances he has ever seen.
  • Orthodox Jewish Jackson resident called the Jackson Township council anti-semitic and alt-right fascists.
  • Orthodox Jews in Jackson are upset that the Jackson council has passed numerous ordinance aimed at curbing their growing population in town.
  • Previously, a no-knock ordinance, realtor realtor canvassing laws, a prohibition on trailers and a landlord registration law have all been aimed at slowing down the growth of the Orthodox population in the town.
  • At the first reading of the ordinance, the Jackson council was asked if the ban on dormitories also covered drug recovery homes, nursing homes, halfway houses or the dormitory facilities in the Cassville section of town. The council said it does not.
  • Jackson’s anti-dormitory law was the first such law that could be found anywhere in the United States, raising concerns about constitutionality.
  • The lawyer representing the Orthodox community declared the law an unconstitutional law that is meant to unfairly target the Orthodox Jewish community.
  • The lawyer representing the Orthodox community has already successfully tried and won cases targeting the Orthodox communities in Howell, Toms River and Ocean Township.
  • Many township residents were upset that the township council pulled the ordinance in the face of opposition.
  • Opposition to Jewish growth in town has been mounting over the years through groups such as Jackson Strong who have expressed vocally their dislikes for the rapid growth in town.
  • Despite the setback, the township council will reintroduce a the ordinance on March 14th.
  • Orthodox residents told the Jackson council at the meeting that they wish to maintain the quality of life in Jackson and commended the Jackson zoning board for being strong and said the town should have more faith in the zoning board’s ability to govern development.

The fundamental problem with the ordinance is that no such ordinance has ever been proposed anywhere in the United States.

MacArthur Visit With Protesters Not Enough for Ocean County's Angry Alt-Left

TOMS RIVER-In a surprise move by Congressman Tom MacArthur on Thursday, he met with alt-left protesters assembled outside the WOBM radio station in Downtown Toms River.

The alt-left across America have stepped up their protests against all Republicans of late. This week was the first time the protests reached Ocean County after the local Ocean County Democrat Club has been hosting courses at branches of the Ocean County Library designed to teach residents how to protest and disrupt at the local level.

MacArthur showed the upset and angry left once again that his brand of Republican and conservative diplomacy and governing is about inclusion, not division, so he spoke to the mob of about 40 protesters.

“Tonight, during my regular ‘Ask the Congressman’ radio program, a sizable group of my constituents peacefully demonstrated outside the WOBM studios,” MacArthur posted on his Facebook page.  “I respect each of them – those who disagree with me as much as those who agree with me – for exercising our most precious, God-given right of free expression.”
While most of the protesters were protesting President Donald Trump, some challenged MacArthur his lack of town hall events, something not required by his position and a forum frequently used by liberals with post election stress disorder (PESD) to vent their frustrations about losing the presidential election last November.

“After the radio program, I went out to the group and promised I would honestly answer their questions and asked in return that they let me speak without drowning out my answers,” MacArthur added.  “And that began some genuine, open, respectful conversation that touched on a range of issues including healthcare, gun control, the environment, and of course President Trump.”

MacArthur told the protesters he understands their anxiety, being brought up in a bi-political household as a child.

“As I shared with my constituents tonight, I grew up with a Mom who was a progressive democrat and a Dad who was a conservative republican,” he added. “They loved each other and I love and respect both of them. Talking with this crowd tonight was like dinner back at home. I’m grateful for those who took the time to make me a better representative and I always welcome the opportunity to have productive conversations with my constituents.”

This was the second time this week MacArthur, a Republican surprised Democrats, once again bringing them into his circle of inclusion.

On Wednesday, he was hosting a meeting in the same building where the Evesham Democrat Club held their monthly meeting. He stopped by to talk to them about their concerns.

Macarthur visit with protesters not enough for ocean county's angry alt-left - photo licensed by shore news network.“So, I walked in. Yes, a Republican Congressman dropping in to a meeting of local Democrats to talk with them about some very serious concerns they had. We didn’t yell or point fingers. We talked honestly and respectfully. We certainly disagreed in some areas, but we did it respectfully,” he said.  “I genuinely cherish moments like these and I’m certain our country would be the better for it, if members of both parties – Republicans and Democrats alike – would commit ourselves to working together to make America the best it can be.”
But for the angry left, MacArthur’s kindness and openness wasn’t enough, as it never is.  Instead of thanks, he was further assaulted on Facebook today.

“Too bad you couldn’t show up for the 500 at Demasi. You don’t get to pat yourself on the back because you got cornered,” wrote Rachel Patore.

“God given? It wasn’t given, it was created by people who were forward thinking and other people who marched for that right,” ranted Meredith Alison.

“Surprise visits for a photo op don’t get you points.” wrote a frustrated Andrea Gurney. “Meet with your constituents in a town hall like a normal, rational, reasonable, paid MoC instead of someone fleeing questions.”

Some were more constructive.

“Thank you for meeting the small group of us that still remained in the parking lot after your WOBM call in show had ended,” wrote Stacey Kalb.  “I hope you took away from our meeting, the urgency to have real town halls with real back and forth dialogue.”

“I am proud to have you as our Representative. You have always shown yourself to be a person who truly cares and always reaching across the aisle,” wrote Mark LeMire.

“So we need to wait outside of your closed door events for the chance to talk,” griped Kelly McKelvey.

The protest was organized by the Ocean County Democrat Club and paid political consultants who are managing a new alt-left campaign of protest and disruption in Ocean County.

The group plans on protesting MacArthur’s March 31st event at Ocean County College, but some conservative groups are already planning to show up to support the Congressman and President Donald Trump in the face of growing alt-left uprising here in Ocean County.

Christie's Shadow, Anti-Trump Stance Daunting Obstacles for Kim Guadagno in June's Republican Primary

TOMS RIVER-For almost eight years, Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno has resided in the large shadow cast by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

At a Governor’s forum held in Toms River on Tuesday, Guadagno tried to get out from behind Christie’s shadow and answered to the backseat role she said she was delegated by him.

“The Governor wanted the Lt. Governor to do one thing, bring jobs back to New Jersey,” she told an audience of Ocean County GOP members.  “That’s what I did.”

She also shirked off the idea from her competitors, Joe Rullo and Jack Ciattarelli over her reluctant stance on public debates.

“I was a federal prosecutor and carried a gun when I was sheriff,” she said. “Think I’m afraid of a debate?”

Despite being number two in charge for the past eight years in a state that ranks in the bottom ten percent in many areas, she told the audience she can do what needs to be done to right the sinking ship.

Her opponents have called her “Silent Kim” for not speaking out against the 23% gas tax hike and for avoiding public debates to this point.  In fact, one opponent Jack Ciattarelli has launched a website at www.silentkim.com, challenging her to a debate in all 21 New Jersey counties.   The counter on the website today was at 36 days since Ciattarelli issued the challenge.

Guadagno, like Ciattarelli, will have to overcome is their branding as a “Never Trumpers” after both refused to back the GOP’s headliner last November, a decision that could cost them both dearly, especially during the Republican primaries.

“I will be voting,” Guadagno said at the time. “I can’t vote for Hillary Clinton. I will not be voting for Trump.”

“Every Republican who is not working for Trump is working for Clinton,” Christie said during the campaign.

Two days after the forum, in an online poll conducted by the Asbury Park Press, Guadagno is polling at just 3%, trailing Rullo (45.9%) and Steve Rogers (39%).  In fact, she’s even trailing Hirsch Singh, an Atlantic County man who just announced is candidacy Tuesday night.

Rullo Takes the Lead in New Jersey Republican Governor Primary Race

TOMS RIVER-Make no mistake, Joe Rullo is an Ocean County “Good Ole’ Boy”, but not in the more commonly accepted pejorative way the term is usually used in New Jersey’s oceanside Republican stronghold.

Rullo is a small businessman who has never held a public office, bestowed a public appointment or awarded a public contract, but for a decade has been a staunch supporter of Republican values at the Jersey Shore.   While he’s a “Good Ole’ Boy”, he’s definitely not one of the “Good Ole’ Boys”.

At a recent governor candidate forum held in Toms River which featured Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, Hirsch Singh and Joe Rullo, those vying for Governor had a chance to speak directly to a room full of about 100 Ocean County political movers and shakers.

Rullo’s speech was in stark contrast to longtime Trenton insiders Jack Ciattarelli and Kim Guadagno. Although Rullo touted his core campaign message of ending the streak of New Jersey being last in all the wrong things, he also reminded the audience that he was the outsider who was not beholden to anyone and has the resolve to make the hard choices that lay ahead.

He was the only person to take the stage that night who openly backed and admittedly voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential election.  While many in the New Jersey Trenton sociopolitical elite very publicly and very clearly distanced themselves from the President during his campaign, Rullo was promoting and campaigning for him, something he hopes will resonate with Trump’s supporters in the June primary.

Both Ciattarelli and Kim Guadagno, by proxy supported Hillary Clinton with their clear and open refusal to support their the top of their own party’s ticket in November.

Rullo takes the lead in new jersey republican governor primary race - photo licensed by shore news network. On the stage Tuesday night, it was obvious Rullo was the outsider.   Both Guadagno and Ciattarelli delivered well planned and calculated campaign speeches, that were probably written by well seasoned political establishment speech writers and delivered countless times in the past few weeks.  Both gave the generic politician speeches of lower taxes, fix Trenton, make things better for everyone in the state and other well rehearsed talking points, but it was only Rullo who spoke to the audience with passion and determination to actually fulfill the promises he was making on stage.

Guadagno tried hard to distance herself from her 8 year affiliation with Governor Chris Christie.”All he [Christie] wanted the Lt. Governor to do was bring jobs back to New Jersey,” Guadagno said, and she admitted that’s all she did during those eight years.

“I want to be New Jersey’s first governor from Ocean County,” Rullo said. “I’m the political outsider here.  I’ve never held a job and never was given a contract with my business.”  Rullo prides himself on being a good Republican with no financial strings attached.

Rullo has tackled many issues that are truly important to New Jersey voters.  He resists giving his audiences lip service, because at the end of the day, just a few months ago, he was that guy in the audience.

Rullo has also been critical of New Jersey’s 23 cent gas tax hike imposed by the Christie/Guadagno administration and vows to repeal it.  He is a strong supporter of the second amendment, critic of New Jersey’s Bail Reform and Speedy Trial Act and wants to see an end to New Jersey’s income tax on veterans pensions.    Rullo is also a critic of common core and New Jersey’s Abbott school districts which takes tax dollars from rural and suburban communities across the state and dumps that money into failing and corrupt urban school districts.  He’d like to see more of that money staying in the home districts.

He stated that he wants to once and for all fix the pension system in New Jersey so that the money can get into the hands of New Jersey’s public workers and law enforcement retirees.

“Right now, $1.3 billion from the pension fund goes to politically connected brokerage houses in New York City,” he said. “We need to replace those connected brokerages with licensed brokers here in New Jersey and use those fees towards pension payment.”

“I will fire hundreds of high-salary patronage jobs, saving hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes,” he added.

Rullo has been trending on social media.  His platform is being consumed by Republicans and moderate independents statewide who are sick and tired of the state’s ultra-liberal tendencies.

In the polls, Rullo is hands down winning them all, except on those where his name is omitted, like a recent NJ 101.5 poll held by GOP political insider Bill Spadea and a recent FDU poll where he polled at 0%.

He’s won several politicker NJ polls and a Save Jersey poll.  In an Asbury Park Press Poll today, Rullo was leading Steve Rogers 47% to 32%.    Kim Guadagno had 3.8% and Jack Ciattarelli had 2.12%, showing that New Jersey voters are clearly looking for an outsider this November.

Comedian Joe Piscopo was a now show Tuesday night.  He just didn’t show up.  Steve Rogers hosted his campaign rally and couldn’t attend.

Ocean County's Alt-Left Plans Protest at Ocean County Library, WOBM Radio Station

On Thursday, the disruptive alt-left of Ocean County will be staging a protest at the Toms River branch of the Ocean County Library.  Republican Congressman Tom MacArthur will be speaking at the nearby NJ 101.5 radio station and the liberal left will once again do their best to disrupt and protest the Congressman’s appearance, just days after the club criticized the congressman for not being visible enough in the county.

The march will start at the Library and head down Robbins Street.

They are also urging fellow alt-lefters to call into the radio show during the broadcast.

The post election stress syndrome felt by the alt-left has risen to the level of a national mental health crises.  In fact, President Donald Trump last night addressed the sort of liberal disruption and activism currently being planned by the alt-left in Ocean County.

“The so-called angry crowds in home districts of some Republicans are actually, in numerous cases, planned out by liberal activists. Sad,” the President said.

Vagina costumes are optional for Thursday’s local protest.

New Jersey Democrat Governor Candidate: Donald Trump is Adolf Hitler

TOMS RIVER-Like many disappointed liberals in New Jersey, Phil Murphy, a Democrat running for Governor is suffering from post-election stress syndrome in the wake of Donald Trump’s overwhelming victory against Hillary Clinton in November.

In a shocking video at a campaign event, front-running Democrat candidate Murphy attempted to invoke fear by comparing President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.

“I have lived in Germany twice – once as a private citizen and once as the United States ambassador, and I’m a modest student of Germany history,” Murphy said. “And I know what was being said about somebody else in the 1920s. And you could unfortunately drop in names from today into those observations from the 1920’s, and the moves that have been made early on only aide and abet that argument.”

On Tuesday, at a Republican governor’s candidate forum in Ocean County, home to one of the largest Orthodox Jewish population centers in the world outside of Israel, Ocean County Republican Chairman George Gilmore expressed disappointment with the words Murphy chose to describe President Trump.   Murphy invoked both Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust to make his political statement against Trump.

“Mr. Murphy set the tone for the 2017 gubernatorial campaign,” Gilmore said. “It’s unfortunate that he chose those words to compare our President to a man who killed 6 million innocent Jewish people during the Holocaust and millions more.”

Murphy made the statement to rally his alt-left liberal supporters in the blue state of New Jersey.  Gilmore said it was a sign that Democrats in New Jersey are scared and out of touch.

“People say that a Republican can’t win New Jersey in 2017,” Gilmore added. “Those are the exact same people who also said Trump couldn’t win the Presidency in 2016.”

“Ocean County brought  Donald Trump the largest victory in New Jersey and we carried Chris Christie twice,” said Republican candidate Joe Rullo. “Communist Phil Murphy calling our president Adolf Hitler is one of the worst things on earth.”

“Murphy made his first Hillary Clinton mistake,” Rullo said.  “Trust me, if Phil Murphy is elected, you will absolutely miss Chris Christie.”

Rullo sharply criticized Murphy for running a campaign that is promising tax increases across the board in the top taxed state in the United States.

“Murphy already spent $20 million in campaign money and nobody is even talking about him,” Rullo added.

Another Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli also took a swipe at Murphy’s alt-left focused liberal agenda and open support for sanctuary cities in New Jersey.  Murphy has stated on numerous occasions he would staunchly defend sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants in New Jersey, a stance many residents outside of the inner cities oppose.

“When Trump cuts funding to New Jersey’s sanctuaries, who will [Phil Murphy] get to foot that bill?” Ciattarelli asked.   “Not New Jersey, if I’m Governor.”

“Phil Murphy’s comparison of the President of the United States to Nazi Germany and Adolf Hitler is repulsive and inexcusable,” said Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno. “His stunning lack of judgement and sensitivity is insulting to those whose families suffered, died or fought during World War II. It diminishes the slaughter of six million Jews and he should apologize to the people of New Jersey immediately.”

It wasn’t just Republicans in Ocean County who took notice, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker said Murphy owes an apology to Trump and the Jewish population he offended with his remarks.

The Republican Governors Association released the following statement regarding New Jersey Democrat gubernatorial candidate Phil Murphy’s remarks comparing President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany.

“Phil Murphy’s comparison of our president to an authoritarian tyrant responsible for the deaths of millions is shameful,” said RGA Chairman Governor Scott Walker. “Murphy’s absurd statement raises serious questions about his judgment and ability to lead, and proves that he is too extreme to represent the people of New Jersey. Murphy should immediately apologize for this offensive and despicable remark.”

Ocean County Alt-Left Plans to Disrupt Congressman's Speaking Engagement at Ocean County College

TOMS RIVER-In light of many Republican congressmen canceling speaking engagements due to alt-left disruption, including town halls and speaking engagements, one is ready to brave the elements of the new political atmosphere in America.

It’s an atmosphere of blind rage and hostility towards anyone or anything that is remotely Republican.

On March 31st, Ocean County College’s Governmental Affairs Institute will present a seminar entitled ‘Government & Politics: What You Need to Know with Congressman Tom MacArthur’.

The even will be hosted on campus in the Gateway Building Lecture Hall. Congressman MacArthur will speak about the recent presidential election and his perspectives on the new Trump administration and the new Congress.

The alt-left in Ocean County is already planning to disrupt the event with political protest.

“Congressman Tom MacArthur will be speaking at Ocean County College, March 31st at 11 am. The event is open to the public,” the Ocean County Democrat Club posted on their Facebook page.  “Please attend and let him know we are here! More details to follow.”

That Annoying Liberal Activist Friend on Facebook is About to get More Annoying

TOMS RIVER-Let’s face it, we all have a few friends on Facebook who have been doing nothing but whining and complaining about Donald Trump since election day.  While we either blocked or unfollowed most of our not-so-close friends for the basic crime of being annoying, we all have those two or three we just can’t silence on Facebook because it would make for an awkward dinner party next week.

For eight years, we put up with their “hope” and “change” posts and quietly scrolled past their responses on our pages calling us racists for criticizing Barack Obama’s trainwreck of a Presidency.  They were always invading your page, while you have quietly let them cheer on their golden child at will, because after all, everyone has a right to believe what they want to believe.

They told us for years that everyone has a right to free speech and the people had spoken, not once but twice.  That was ok, because they were right.   Before the election, they preached things like higher ground and treating people with respect.

But things didn’t go their way, did it?  Now they have become THAT guy…or THAT girl.  The Facebook political activist.  The disruptor who dons a bandana before logging in, hurling molotov cocktails one post at a time at anything they don’t agree with, armed with buckets of links to fake news reports, courtesy of MSNBC, HuffPo, New York Times and CNN.

It’s not going to get any better.  A national level plan for Democrats revolves around being more even annoying, if that’s even possible, and the Ocean County Democrat Club is trying to teach people just how to do it.

The club has been hosting seminars on how to be a better Democrat and how to bring the national level of lunacy and insanity to the local level.  Emboldened by election wins in Ocean County’s only blue town, Brick Township and exploiting the Michael Ritacco scandal to gain power of the the Toms River School Board, Democrats in the county hope to take that momentum and flip it–like they did the senate, congress and the presidency.

They are now preaching the platform that Ocean County overwhelmingly rejected in the voting booth just three short months ago.  Ocean County Democrats have historically been the possums of the New Jersey political scene.   They come out at night and try to steal your trash when there’s nobody looking, but either scurry into the woods or play dead once the light shines on them.

This week at the Ocean County administration building cafeteria, Democrats hosted a forum from the belly of the beast to help their followers be better organizers.

Knock on doors, make phone calls, host a house party, write letters to the editor and attend town meetings were the key strategy elements.

The ominous last message however is the one that perhaps will finally lead you to block that annoying Trump hater, “Social media engagement with friends and neighbors.”

Yes, it can get worse. Ocean County Democrats have signed on to rebuild themselves on the platform of being a nuisance to their fellow neighbors.

Please, if you’re an Ocean County Democrat, do not engage your friends on social media because nearly 3 out of 4 of them don’t agree with you and voted for Trump.  Go back to posting pictures of beach sunrises and cute dog pics, we liked you better back then.

White House Says AP Report On National Guard Rounding Up Illegals Is False

The White House disputed an Associated Press report Friday that President Donald Trump is considering sending the National Guard to round up illegal immigrants. “This is not true,” White House press secretary Sean Spicer tweeted, within minutes of the AP report. The AP obtained an 11-page memo drafted by the Department of Homeland Security outlining the…

Pruitt has battled the EPA numerous times in court, earning the hatred of many of the agency’s employees. “Employees…

Students Demand Free College Tuition to Make Up for Slavery

Given this nation’s history of slavery, black students should be offered free tuition and housing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison — because their ancestors weren’t able to receive education as slaves, a student government group insisted this week. The Associated Students of Madison (ASM) also said that students from suburban high schools are overrepresented at the…

Report: Staten Island Student Gets Lower Grade Because She Didn't Bash Trump

Teachers tasked by taxpayers with educating their children are instead inserting their own anti-Trump biases into their lesson plans. A Staten Island, New York, educator teacher placed an anti-President Trump question onto a middle school homework assignment — and then defended it as “freedom of speech,” reported The New York Post. “Please keep your political views…

Trump: Fake news media is the enemy of the American People

With fair and balanced news hard to find these days, President Donald Trump once again lashed out at the media on Friday, calling out the “failing New York Times”, NBC News, ABC, CBS and CNN.

Trump gave a message they most likely won’t understand, that they are the “enemy” of the American people.

The liberal leaning news media has, for the most part, not only failed to fairly cover the new president, but are leading the liberal, alt-left’s charge against the administration, therefore against America.

To date, the media still doesn’t get it, they have lost the attention of the average hardworking American and cater to the alt-left population base and it shows in the weekly Nielsen ratings as Fox News tops the charts on cable television overall with CNN and MSNB trailing far behind.

Sanders Reminds Media Why President Continues to Bypass Them to Reach Americans

WASHINGTON, DC-White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Stern gave the White House media pool aboard Air Force One a firm reminder why the President has chosen to circumvent the biased anti-Trump media.

Sanders was asked why the President, who was inaugurated four weeks ago feels the need tomorrow to go back onto the stump and reach out directly to the American people.

“I think it’s real simple the reason he wants to go back,” Sanders said.  “I think, in large part, it’s because his message, when filtered through — unfortunately, people standing in this circle don’t always do the best job delivering his message, and nobody does it better than he does.”

Trump has lost all faith in the mainstream media’s ability to provide fair and honest reporting of his Presidency.

“And so, he can do that very easily by taking the stage and talking directly to the people of America, addressing their concerns, and being able to properly express exactly what he’s doing, what his administration has done over the last month, and what they plan to do in the coming weeks,” Sanders added.

When asked a ridiculous question by the “dishonest” media, Sanders handled it like a pro.

“Is this a campaign rally for 2020?  Or is it a campaign rally for another candidate?  Or how do you portray it?” one reporter asked.

“I think it’s most likely a campaign rally for America,” she responded. “I think it’s — again, it’s the President’s time to be able to speak directly to people across this country in an unfiltered way, and in a way that doesn’t have any bias that’s been expressed through the reporting that usually happens.”

The press pool, who rarely, if ever questioned former President Barack Obama over his travel plans continued to grill Stern with more absurd and leading questions.

Trump Touts Elimination of Anti-Coal Regulations and Recognizes Women Business Leaders in America

Washington, DC-President Donald Trump hailed his elimination of anti-coal regulations and meeting with women business leaders in America as two of his major successes this week in the Oval Office during his weekly address.

Transcript:

We have taken major steps during the first few weeks of my Administration to remove wasteful regulations and get our people back to work. I have been saying I was going to do that for a long time.

This week I signed two pieces of legislation to remove burdens on our economy, continue to keep my promises to the American People and so much more.

I signed House Joint Resolution 38, which eliminates an anti-coal regulation put forward by unelected bureaucrats.  Our coal miners have been treated horribly, and we are going to turn that around – and we are going to turn it around quickly. We are going to fight for lower energy prices for all Americans as part of the deal.

That’s why I also signed a resolution to eliminate a costly regulation Dodd-Frank imposed on American energy companies. By stopping this regulation, we are able to save American companies and workers millions and millions of dollars in job-killing compliance costs.

But to truly succeed as a country, we must realize the full potential of women in our economy.

That is why I was thrilled to host the White House’s women’s business leaders roundtable—very exciting, great women.

As President, I am committed to ensuring that women entrepreneurs have equal access to the capital, markets, and networks of support that they need, and I mean really need. And it’s going to happen.  This is a priority for my Administration.  I campaigned on helping women in the workforce, and we are going to deliver on that promise, believe me.

In fact, as part of my first official meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau this week, we announced the creation of the joint United States-Canada Council for Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders. Actually, very exciting.

The United States also reaffirmed our unbreakable bond this week with our cherished ally, Israel. It was an honor to welcome my friend, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House.

I affirmed to the Prime Minister America’s commitment to working with Israel and our allies and partners toward greater security and stability.  The threat of terrorism—and believe me it is a threat—must be confronted and defeated and we will defeat it.

We share with Israel a deep conviction that we must protect all innocent human life.

So as you head into the President’s Day weekend, the American people should know that we are working tirelessly on your behalf.  We are not here for the benefit of bureaucrats, consultants, or pundits—we are here to work for you, and only for you, the American people.

Thank you, God Bless you and God Bless America.

Trump's Epic Slam of the Dishonest Press

Washington, DC-President Donald Trump continued his defense of the American people against the barrage of misinformation and misleading headlines since he has taken the oath of office.

On Thursday, he spoke at a press conference, over the media, directly to the American people.

“I’m making this presentation directly to the American people with the media present, which is an honor to have you this morning, because many of our nation’s reporters and folks will not tell you the truth and will not treat the wonderful people of our country with the respect that they deserve,” Trump said. “And I hope going forward we can be a little bit different, and maybe get along a little bit better, if that’s possible.  Maybe it’s not, and that’s okay too.”

https://www.facebook.com/WhiteHouse/videos/1225328447554886/

Trump showed no love for the mainstream media.

“Unfortunately, much of the media in Washington, D.C., along with New York, Los Angeles, in particular, speaks not for the people but for the special interests and for those profiting off a very, very obviously broken system,” Trump said.  “The press has become so dishonest that if we don’t talk about it, we are doing a tremendous disservice to the American people — tremendous disservice.  We have to talk about it to find out what’s going on, because the press honestly is out of control.  The level of dishonesty is out of control.”

He reminded the American public that he was committed to draining the swamp in Washington, even if that means draining the media outlets that thrive in the swamp.

“I ran for President to represent the citizens of our country.  I am here to change the broken system so it serves their families and their communities well.  I am talking, and really talking, on this very entrenched power structure, and what we’re doing is we’re talking about the power structure, we’re talking about its entrenchment,” he added. “As a result, the media is going through what they have to go through to oftentimes distort — not all the time — and some of the media is fantastic, I have to say; they’re honest and fantastic.  But much of it is not — the distortion.  And we’ll talk about it, and you’ll be able to ask me questions about it.”

Trump was quick to place blame on the poor health and division of America squarely on the shoulders of the past eight years of Barack Obama’s presidency, which left the country more divided that it has been since the 1960’s, perhaps even more.

“But we’re not going to let it happen, because I’m here again to take my message straight to the people.  As you know, our administration inherited many problems across government and across the economy,” Trump added. “To be honest, I inherited a mess — it’s a mess — at home and abroad.  A mess.  Jobs are pouring out of the country.  You see what’s going on with all of the companies leaving our country, going to Mexico and other places — low-pay, low-wages.  Mass instability overseas, no matter where you look.  The Middle East, a disaster.  North Korea — we’ll take care of it, folks.  We’re going to take care of it all.  I just want to let you know I inherited a mess.”

Silent Kim Guadagno and Black Train Jack Ciattarelli Continue to Ignore Bail Reform Woes Plaguing New Jersey

The top two contending Republican candidates for the office of Governor in New Jersey, Kim Guadagno and Jack Ciattarelli continue to ignore the growing nightmare facing New Jersey, bail reform.

We’ve asked both campaigns repeatedly to let New Jersey know where they stand on bail reform, but so far, what we received was a new CD release from  “Black Train Jack” Ciattarelli mocking Kim Guadagno and more silence from Guadagno who is quickly becoming deserving of her moniker, “Silent Kim”.

The two of them are shining examples of Trenton style politics independent Republicans across New Jersey are sick and tired of.  One of them is busy producing music releases (who uses compact discs anyway?), the other making no noise at all.

Here’s what we know about bail reform so far…

Reader Poll: Is Governor Chris Christie's Recent Drug Addiction Stance Sincere?

After being governor for 7 years, Chris Christie recently embarked on a crusade to fight New Jersey’s growing opiate addiction problem, which has been growing for many years. Many are now questioning the governor’s motives and doubting his sincerity in the effort. What do you think?

The Alec Baldwin Phone Call Skit You'll Never See on Saturday Night Live

Saturday Night Live has mastered the art of the phone call parody, but here’s one phone call skit you probably won’t see on the show in the near future.   It was 2007 and Baldwin had his own phone call to his then 11…or 12…he couldn’t quite remember, year old daughter.

Toms River Senior Blasts New Jersey Newspaper Public Notices, Fire Elections

TOMS RIVER-A Toms River senior this week blasted New Jersey’s firefighter elections.  William McPhail said his local fire department, “Doesn’t know my address to mail a ballot, but know it when they ask for donations.”

McPhail also sunk the notion that New Jersey’s public notices are in newspapers to better serve the senior population who may not have access to a computer at this week’s township council meeting.

First, he criticized the process of the often secretive seeming fire department elections in the state of New Jersey.     Under law, fire departments are required to publish their annual budget twice before the elections, once in December and once in January.

Generally, nobody knows who is running for election or what their platform is.

“I haven’t seen anything about candidates or the budget,” McPhail said. “There’s no publicity, nothing. I don’t even know who the candidates are or what the budget it is.”

Typically fire department budgets pass with only several hundred voters, often firefighters and their families and a few informed residents.

“There isn’t one damn thing in any newspaper that I’ve read, and I get the Asbury Park Press and Toms River Times,” McPhail said.

Councilman Brian Kubiel, also the administrator for Toms River’s Fire District Number One  told McPhail that the fire districts post public notices in the newspaper, according to New Jersey’s public notice law.

“There is a legal notice that’s published in t he papers, it’s there,” Kubiel said. “It’s published once in December and once in January.”

“Well let me tell ya something,” McPhail responded.  “This is why i feel justified when Christie wants that crap done away, because who the heck reads those little fine print notices that are 5, 10, 15 pages long?”

Keady: Democrats on Right Side of Issues; Have Momentum in Ocean and Monmouth Counties

The political landscape in Ocean and Monmouth Counties has been ugly of late, but it looks like it’s about to get uglier as deflated progressives at the shore are backed further into a corner of irrelevance.  But one man this week said he intends to bottle up that frustration and unleash it before the 2018 congressional elections.

James Keady a political disruptor, known most for being told to “sit down and shut up” by Governor Chris Christie said this week that shore Democrats and progressives need to begin to organize grassroots efforts and step up political activism if they want to start winning elections in the predominantly conservative region of New Jersey.

“We have momentum. We are on the right side of the issues. We are ready to stand up and be counted,” Keady said.  “Now, let’s get down to business.”

What?

Democrats in Ocean and Monmouth Counties hold no higher office outside of a couple of mayors and council seats.   It’s unsure what momentum he is referring to.

Keady lost the Democratic nomination for Congressman last November to perhaps one of the worst run campaigns and failed candidates at the Jersey Shore in decades, that of Frederick John LaVergne. Despite LaVergne’s personal bankruptcy and home foreclosure proceedings, Democrats chose him to go to battle against Tom MacArthur last year…and lost miserably.   On top of that, Republican Tom MacArthur cleaned LaVergne’s clock in the election booth.

In Monmouth County and Northern Ocean, Congressman Chris Smith won his 18th consecutive election, this year flattening his Democratic opponent Lorna Phillipson by a more than 2-1 margin.

With conventional campaigning ineffective for Democrats, Keady says it’s time to take to the streets to protest, march and disrupt.  Keady now hopes to tap into the young leftist activist moving sweeping across urban America in the wake of the Trump presidency.

“In response to our current political reality, many people are finding themselves adopting the role of being a political activist for the first time,” Keady said.  “People who have never protested before are marching in the streets. People who didn’t know the names of their elected officials are now calling their offices every day.”

Keady recommended young aspiring leftists should start reading ‘Rules for Radicals’ by Saul Alinsky.   He also suggested young liberals connect online with the  radical disruptive ‘Our Revolution’ movement.

He also encouraged liberals to get off of Facebook and Twitter and to get out into the streets of the Jersey Shore.

“Realize that we are not going to Tweet or Facebook post our way out of this,” Keady added. “It’s going to take our time, effort, and sacrifice in real life. Make the time and put in the effort to actively be a part of organizing meetings, demonstrations, call-ins, etc.”

Keady offered would-be organizers a script designed to discredit Congressman Chris Smith, a Republican.

Here is a sample script.

YOU: Do you think our Congressperson should live in our district?

NEIGHBOR: Of course.

YOU: Did you know that Chris Smith hasn’t lived in our district since the early 80s? He’s been living in Virginia for so long that his kids get in-state tuition at Virginia schools.

NEIGHBOR: What?! That’s crazy.

YOU: Yeah, he keeps a small apartment in Mercer County so he can have a NJ address. A news outlet did a story about it years ago and the neighbors there didn’t even know that a Congressman lived in the complex, they were shocked.

NEIGHBOR: That’s just wrong.

YOU: Along with him not living here, did you know that he never comes back to the district to hold open, public town hall meetings?

NEIGHBOR: Really?

YOU: Yeah, some friends and I have looked into it and we cannot find any reference of any town hall meetings on record since he’s been in office. Some people think there may have been one in 1991 or 1992, but we can’t find anything about it. We keep calling and emailing his office to get an answer and they won’t tell us when the last one happened and he refuses to commit to a town hall meeting in 2017.

NEIGHBOR: What?! That’s crazy.

YOU: Yeah, isn’t it? Our tax dollars pay this guy’s salary, the least he can do is meet us face to face a few times a year, right?!

NEIGHBOR: Yeah, that’s the least he can do.

YOU: Do you think that there are way too many people in Washington who have been there far too long? Don’t we need some new blood?

NEIGHBOR: Absolutely. That’s why I agreed with Trump that we should “drain the swamp.”

YOU: I hear you. Did you know that our Congressman has been in the same office for 37 years.

NEIGHBOR: What?! That’s crazy.

YOU: Yeah, 37 years. My friends and I think that’s long enough and it’s time we get someone new in there to shake things up. Someone who’s an independent thinker from outside of Washington.

NEIGHBOR: I am down with that.

YOU: I am involved with a group that is working on bringing people together who agree with us that we need new blood in Congress and that at a minimum, our Congressperson should live in our district and should hold regular town halls to listen to the concerns of taxpayers. Would you like to join us one night?

NEIGHBOR: Sure.

YOU: Cool. Why don’t you give me your email address and cell number and I will shoot you a message about the next meeting. If you need a ride maybe we can go over together.

NEIGHBOR: That sounds great.

This last part of the engagement is REALLY important. If we are going to be effective political organizers, we need to be able to get in touch with people. Getting someone’s contact info is as important as it gets. So never, ever, ever skip this step. Even if they aren’t yet interested in coming to a meeting, ask for their info and tell them you would like to reach out to them in the future. Getting email addresses and cell numbers is gold in political organizing.

Keady’s message is inline with the Ocean and Monmouth Democrat’s scheduled meetings to begin enticing local radicals at the Jersey Shore how to become political activists and disruptors, following the model being used at the national level.

Rullo Hits Absent "Silent Kim" Guadagno at First Republican Primary Debate

The 2017 Republican gubernatorial primary campaign season officially kicked off on February 6th with the Morris County Young Republicans’ debate.  Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno was not present and neither was Jack Ciattarelli who announced that he would be scaling back his campaign while he undergoes cancer treatment.

Rullo struck first at New Jersey’s recent gas tax, claiming Guadagno has been silent on the tax, branding the Lt. Governor as “Silent Kim”.  Rullo also criticized New Jersey’s sanctuaries and illegal immigration.

“We so are grateful for the 150+ who attended, the media who covered the event, our sponsors who made it possible, and the candidates who came: Joseph Rullo and Steve Rogers,” the MCYR said, “Our moderators Michael Crispi and Anthony J Somma Jr.  did an outstanding job! This was a great way to kick off the 2017 GOP Primary.”

Nancy Pelosi Still Fighting George Bush in Her Head

It seems Nancy Pelosi is losing her mind and still fighting her battles against George Bush in a statement made this week.  Pelosi said there’s nothing she can work with President Bush on.  She’s right, because he’s not the President.  Pelosi has been fighting Republicans for so long and filled with so much hate towards her political rivals, she has trouble speaking coherently about it.

Democrat Activism Seminar Coming to Ocean County in February

TOMS RIVER-The first of three seminars aimed at teaching local democrats about activism and running for office takes place tonight at the Ocean County Library in Toms River.  Anyone interested in Democratic activism in Ocean County is invited to attend.  Although Ocean County is a dominant Republican stronghold, Ocean County Democrats seek to expand their growing wave of local power in the county from the Brick Township and the Toms River schools boards across the county.

Brick Township remains the only “blue” town in Ocean County and Democrats also are in firm control of the Toms River Regional School Board where teachers are approaching the one year mark without a contract.  Teachers have been working without a contract since July 1st of 2016.

In stark contrast in Brick, under the Democrats the the teacher’s union was awarded in 2015 for having one of the top contract settlements in the county.

What does the future hold for Ocean County’s Democrats eager to seize

New Jersey Police Detective Speaks Out Against Bail Reform

After our coverage last week regarding the problems associated with New Jersey bail reform, many police officers have contacted us thanking us, but very few would go on the record criticizing the new system that is rapidly undoing their hard work apprehending criminals and keeping their communities safe.

One police officer, a detective who has had enough of the hardened criminals his department arrests being let back into public hours after an arrest wanted New Jersey to know the other side of bail reform.

After the editorial board of the Star Ledger defended bail reform and blamed only a judge for the release of a two-time Little Egg Harbor Township child sexual assault offender, this detective had enough.

He did share with us his name and asked us to publish his name, but because of our knowledge of a recent gag order the Attorney General of New Jersey, we’ve decided not to publish his name or department.   Police officers, courts, prosecutors and every level of law enforcement agencies have been under pressure to “go with the flow” on the very broken bail reform system.

Here is his response to the Star Ledger editorial on bail reform.

The editorial published by Star Ledger Staff regarding bail reform published on February 2nd, is a great indication of the general public’s misconceptions of how this system is really working. The Star Ledger cites several examples of where the system has failed already, but seems to place the blame on the judges rather than the system itself.

Quoting the Star Ledger “Under the old [bail] law, the only factor [in determining bail] was a defendant’s risk of flight – not the threat posed to the community.” This is false.

Under Bail Schedules 1 and 2, Court Rule 3:26-1, a predetermined monetary bail amount was set according to each specific statute. When setting bail, Judges and Judicial Officers HAD to abide by Court Rule 3:26-1:

“3:26-1 – Right to Bail before Conviction – The factors to be considered in setting bail are:

  • The seriousness of the crime charged against defendant, the apparent likelihood of conviction, and the extent of the punishment prescribed by the Legislature;
  • Defendant’s criminal record, if any, and previous record on bail, if any;
  • Defendant’s reputation, and mental condition;
  • The length of defendant’s residence in the community;
  • Defendant’s family ties and relationships;
  • Defendant’s employment status, record of employment, and financial condition;
  • The identity of responsible members of the community who would vouch for defendant’s reliability;
  • Any other factors indicating defendant’s mode of life, or ties to the community or bearing on the risk of failure to appear, and, particularly, the general policy against unnecessary sureties and detention.”

As you can see, there wasn’t just one factor as the Star-Ledger would like it’s readers to believe, there were a total of eight. Suffice it to say, the Star Ledger didn’t do their research. What’s very important to note is number 8 “… the general policy against unnecessary sureties and detention.” The monetary bail system in New Jersey was generally well balanced and fair. For the most part, people weren’t subject to unnecessary pretrial incarceration for minor offenses thanks in large part to these factors unless there were other extenuating circumstances, but I won’t say that it never happened.

Now, to address the statement made by the Star Ledger that people were sitting in jail on minor or non-violent offenses and couldn’t “buy” their freedom. Bail reform did not address the issue of people sitting in jail on “minor offenses” like traffic warrants. In fact, under bail reform, people are more likely to be incarcerated on the inability to pay a traffic ticket as opposed to having committed a crime.

Under bail reform, determinations for incarceration are made based on computer Algorithms called “Public Safety Assessments” or PSA’s. If a defendant has a high PSA they are recommended for incarceration, if the PSA is low pretrial release or release on summons is recommended. However, as experienced by law enforcement across the state, the program is flawed. For example, the PSA numbers for Ahmad Khan Rahami, (the Seaside Park Boardwalk Bomber), were low enough that if he were processed under the new bail reform act, he would technically be eligible for pretrial release. Yet, despite bail reform being touted as a huge success; people are still sitting in jail on minor offenses because they have a past of committing minor crimes like shoplifting, while violent offenders are routinely released. Hypothetically, you could murder someone having never committed a crime in your life and have a lower PSA score than someone who shoplifted a few times in the past, so the Star Ledger was wrong again, a PSA score does not take the seriousness of the alleged offense into consideration when determining incarceration or release.

I will concede to one thing the Star Ledger stated; the bail system SHOULD be based on a risk assessment and a judge. In fact, it used to be. Just read the rules of 3:26-1 again; only Judges were allowed to use common sense. Now they’re forced to rely on the flawed PSA’s to make these determinations and it has failed miserably time and time again, for example Dawud Ward; he was arrested and released three times in a month for residential burglary. Maybe if Ward was in jail the first time under “the old law”, he wouldn’t have victimized two additional innocent people. But I digress. The pretrial conditions of bail reform require judges to take the PSA numbers into consideration; and to be fair, some judges may be more inclined to incarcerate while others are not.

Yes, offenders could post bail before and be released. But, the gang member that Star Ledger referenced with $50,000 worth of heroin, and a loaded 9mm, more than likely would have had a $250,000 – $500,000 bail maybe more depending upon his criminal history, prior failure to appears, and his status as a gang member. Even with a 10% option, he and/or his buddies are putting up a lot of cash to get him out. But let’s say he did bail out; the purpose of bail money is to guarantee he’s going to show up in court to answer to his charges; if he doesn’t, he forfeits the money and a warrant is issued for his arrest. But there’s more to it than simply “buying your freedom” as the Ledger puts it.

Most significantly, what the Star Ledger conveniently neglected to mention is what was known as a Bail Source Inquiry, P.L. 2007, c. 46., which was in effect until The Bail Reform Act was enacted.  During a Bail Source Inquiry, Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2A:162-13, a person charged with a crime with bail restrictions had to provide, under penalty of perjury, information “about the obligor, indemnifier or person posting cash bail, the security offered, and the source of any money or property used to post the cash bail or secure the surety or bail bond, as the case may be.” This bail source inquiry was an 8 page application that had to be submitted for prosecutor review which encompassed the source of the money being posted for bail to ensure that gang members or other ill-gotten funds weren’t posted to bail someone out of jail. Just Google “NJ Bail source inquiry”, you will find the actual application on the Attorney General’s website.

But now defendants are released, with no bail source inquiry, no accountability, nothing to lose, just simply a promise to appear. Sometimes pretrial release monitoring consists of an ankle bracelet which offenders have been cutting off, and other methods are having the defendant provide a good phone number so they can “check in”, which shockingly enough, most phone numbers that have been provided don’t work. But for the Ledger to say “there’s more monitoring”, is a feel good statement without basis, there simply is not.

The most inaccurate statement the Star Ledger makes: “the poor were jailed simply because they couldn’t [“buy” their freedom].” First of all, refer back to the bail schedules, if you committed a burglary your bail was in the same range whether you were a millionaire or on public assistance, Judges simply had to set bail amounts according to the 8 factors mentioned above on a case by case basis. Furthermore, this isn’t about being poor – 3:26-1(6) – Rules Governing the Courts of New Jersey – Setting of Bail: “defendant’s employment status, record of employment, and financial condition [must be taken into consideration when setting bail].

What this is about personal accountability. It’s about obeying laws, and being responsible enough not to worry about coming up with bail money in the first place, I’ve managed to do it my whole life and so have millions of other people. The criminal justice system isn’t perfect, and it does need tweaking… here’s the fix; dangerous people belong behind bars, not on the street, and if they’re released, they need to be held accountable.

Historically, The State of New Jersey has exceeded Federal Constitutional Standards and extended these additional protections to its citizens. The 6thand 8th Amendments were never an exception. With that said there is a delicate balance between protecting the Constitutional Rights of defendants, while also placing a higher value of the rights of a person to live in a community knowing violent or abhorrent offenders are safely locked behind bars or at least being held accountable for their actions.

Bail reform has done the opposite. It has created a revolving door where offender after offender is being released back onto the streets days or even hours after arrest which compromises the safety and security of victims and communities. Even after only a month of bail reform, offenders are routinely arrested again shortly after being released. It isn’t “a rare case or bad call”, as the Star Ledger puts it, when it happens on a daily basis across the state; it is a testament to the failure of the system.

Because of the revolving door it has created, bail reform has proven to be a complete drain on law enforcement resources which has resulted in increased municipal overtime. Suffice it to say, bail reform came with changes to the online complaint systems which every law enforcement agency in this state uses.  The changes have resulted in increased booking times, increased complaint processing times and most importantly increased overtime.  What was touted as being saved in incarceration costs is lost in day to day police operations and most of all lost in implementation: $53.4 Million to be exact. The recently retracted Bill S2933, sponsored by Senators Robert Singer and Steven Sweeney which called for a property tax cap exclusion, that would have allowed the state to raise property taxes in order to fund bail reform throughout 2017, substantiates the fact that bail reform is unsustainable and New Jersey simply can’t afford. It took only a month and lawmakers were already looking to the taxpayer for additional funding… isn’t that a surprise.

By the way, I’m not a bail bondsman. I didn’t’ make a living from a monetary bail system, (nor was I financially liable for the estimated $638 Million in commercial bail posted annually, which a majority was allocated to the 21st Century Fund) and personally, bail reform hasn’t affected me. But dealing with it every day, I see its shortcomings and all the societal woes that are sure to follow. I’m a police officer who’s tired of devoting days, months and endless hours into investigations only to see criminals being released with a slap on the wrist. I’m tired of seeing this state value its criminals more than the innocent people they victimize. The rights of the innocent should be appreciated more than anything else in our society. Trenton and some of our politicians obviously feel differently, and until they change it, the innocent people of this state will continue to pay for and fall victim to this total failure called bail reform.

Conway Uses Nuclear Option on Chelsea Clinton in Twitter Fight

When it comes to the battle of the White House’s second ladies, Kellyanne Conway delivered a head severing blow to former first brat, Chelsea Clinton.

Chelsea took no time to take advantage of what could have been potential mass killing in France to take a swipe at Donald Trump’s right hand lady, Conway.

The younger Clinton challenged the Trump advisor after a misquote about the 2009 FBI operation that uncovered two Iraqi bomb making terrorists in Bowling Green, Kentucky, however there were no incidents and Conway later apologized for her misquote.  A massacre was averted thanks to investigators.

Conway fired back at the daughter of 2016’s presidential election loser, Hillary Clinton reminding her that it was mom who was the author of the most fictitious battle account in recent American history.

She pulled no punches, delivering a 1-2 knockout to the reported beneficiary of the Clinton Foundation.   She also got personal, reminding Chelsea of her mother’s defeat in a real battle, the 2016 campaign.

It was 2008.  As the story went, Hillary Clinton told reporters she came under sniper fire while visiting Bosnia in 1996.  Clinton detailed how she and her team had to run from the plane while taking fire from the enemy in the surrounding hillside.

“I remember landing under sniper fire, there was no greeting ceremony and we were told get to our vehicles,” Clinton detailed in her after action battlefield report.  “Now, that is what happened.”

Not so.  CBS news debunked Clinton’s claim. Clinton’s campaign team then doubled down her imaginary battle account.

“She meant that there was fire in the hillside around the area when we landed, which was the case,” according to campaign aide Lissa Muscatine.

Chelsea Clinton should remember that battle well, she was there. She also never corrected the false battle report given by her mother.

The similarity between the two accounts is that neither happened.  The only difference between the Bowling Green Massacre and the grueling Battle of Bosnia in 1996 was that Conway apologize and made right on her statement.  Hillary Clinton will probably take her war story to the grave with her despite plenty of news coverage and media debunking that proves it never happened that way.

Why Christie isn't slashing funding to Newark over sanctuary city status

TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie said Thursday night he won’t take the lead to cut state funding to New Jersey cities like Newark over its officials refusal to comply with President Donald Trump’s executive order targeting so-called sanctuary cities. Christie, in an interview on Fox News, said he wouldn’t follow the lead of fellow GOP Gov.…

Tom Kean to NJ Democrats: Spend More Time Fixing New Jersey, Less Time Protesting Donald Trump

TRENTON-Democratic lawmakers nationwide have been fixated on Donald Trump since his inauguration and have all but abandoned their responsibilities at the local level as they participate in protests and organize rallies against the President.

It’s something Senate Republican Leader Tom Kean wishes they would stop…and focus more on fixing the problems that plague the Garden State.

“With Senate Democrats so focused on federal affairs in Washington, they’ve ignored work on reforms they have the power to advance in Trenton that could have a real impact on the lives of every New Jerseyan,” Kean said. “They’ve planned votes to express opposition, but they haven’t planned any votes on cutting property taxes, nor have they planned votes on creating opportunities for students and job seekers, or on ethics reforms that would help to rebuild trust in our government institutions.”

Kean said New Jersey Democrats have been grandstanding in the recent national media spotlight, also fixated on the President’s actions.

“Rather than work for headlines, Senate Democrats should start working for New Jersey,” he added.

Gov Candidate Rullo: New Jersey First in All the Wrong Things

New Jersey candidate for Governor Joe Rullo today released another video highlighting the Ocean County resident’s opinion about New Jersey government.  The grassroots campaign has been gaining traction on social media, but Rullo has thus far been shunned by the establishment of the New Jersey Republican organization.
