CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ — On August 8, 2024, a collaborative effort involving the Middle Township Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, and New Jersey’s Division of Child Protection and Permanency led to the arrest of George Young IV, 44, and Victoria Willis, 32.

The arrests are part of an ongoing child endangerment investigation.

Following the arrests, authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on Sulloway Street in Whitesboro, New Jersey. The search yielded several items, including 404 prescription legend pills, a sawed-off shotgun, and a defaced handgun with a high-capacity magazine.

The charges against Young IV and Willis include two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, possession of controlled substances such as Alprazolam and Gabapentin, and multiple weapons offenses related to the possession of a sawed-off shotgun, a defaced firearm, and a high-capacity magazine.

They also face charges for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both individuals were detained at the Cape May County Correctional Center pending court proceedings. Convictions for second-degree crimes can lead to 5 to 10 years in state prison, third-degree crimes carry penalties of 1 to 5 years, and fourth-degree crimes can result in up to 18 months of imprisonment.
