MAURICE RIVER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for attempting to abduct a juvenile girl outside her home Saturday morning near the intersection of State Highway 47 and Main Street.

The incident occurred on January 12 at approximately 11:30 a.m. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, aged 30 to 40 years, with light stubbly facial hair and a two-inch jagged scar on his left jawline. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, an oversized black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black socks, and black shoes.

New Jersey State Police are urging anyone with information to contact Troop “A” Port Norris Station at 856-785-0036. Anonymous tips are also welcome.
