Clifton Man Faces Charges for Sexual Assault and Child Endangerment

CLIFTON, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Esmond Nimblett, a Clifton, NJ resident, on serious charges of sexual assault and child endangerment.

The arrest came as a result of a joint investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Englewood Police Department.

On Sunday, July 23, the Englewood Police Department was informed about an alleged sexual assault on a child aged between 13 and 16. The subsequent investigation revealed Nimblett as the perpetrator of the crime.

Nimblett was arrested on Thursday, and charged with sexual assault, aggravated sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child.

He has been held in the Bergen County Jail, pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
