COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Colorado Springs Police announced on New Year’s Eve a significant breakthrough in a tragic case involving the murder of two children. Kimberlee Singler, a 35-year-old mother of three, was arrested in the United Kingdom on December 30, 2023, for the alleged murder of her two youngest children, which occurred six days before Christmas.

The case unfolded after a 911 call on December 19 led authorities to the bodies of 7-year-old Aden Wentz and 9-year-old Elianna “Ellie” Wentz at their home. The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed Singler’s arrest, stating that their homicide unit is working with multiple law enforcement agencies on the ongoing investigation. Details about the case and Singler’s arrest remain limited, with further information expected to be released in a future press conference.

Singler, reportedly involved in a custody dispute with her ex-husband Kevin Wentz, was scheduled for a court appearance the day after the discovery of the homicide. She made a court appearance in London on New Year’s Day, with police yet to provide details on extradition efforts to bring her back to the United States.
