Cumberland woman arrested after allegedly threatening resident with knife during assault
Cumberland, MD – A 28-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after allegedly threatening someone with a knife inside a Pennsylvania Avenue residence, according to the Cumberland Police Department.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue on November 11 following reports of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, police determined that Alexandra Wolfe, of Cumberland, had allegedly brandished a knife and threatened an individual inside the home.
Wolfe was taken into custody at the scene without further incident. She was transported to the District Court Commissioner’s Office, where she was formally charged with first-degree and second-degree assault.
Following her initial court appearance, Wolfe was ordered held without bond and remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
Police have not disclosed any potential motive for the assault or the relationship between the individuals involved. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
