WASHINGTON, D.C. — A pair of suspects is under investigation after they were caught on camera stealing merchandise during a break-in at a Southeast business early Monday, police said.
Around 2:52 a.m. on June 2, officers responded to the 4500 block of Benning Road SE for a report of a burglary in progress. Investigators said the individuals forcibly entered the location, took merchandise, and fled the scene before police arrived.
Surveillance video recorded the pair and was released to the public to help identify them. Officials posted the footage online to encourage tips from the community.

Reward offered for valuable tips
The Metropolitan Police Department is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
Investigators continue to pursue leads and gather evidence related to the break-in.
Police said no injuries were reported during the burglary.
