E-bike rider wanted after elderly woman critically injured in Queens hit-and-run

Queens, NY – An 80-year-old woman was left fighting for her life after being struck by an electric bicycle in Queens last month, police said.

The victim was crossing at 64th Avenue and Queens Boulevard around 2:50 p.m. on Aug. 13 when she was hit by a neon-colored e-bike operated by an unidentified man, according to investigators.

She suffered a serious head injury and was rushed by EMS to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

The cyclist fled westbound on Queens Boulevard and has not been located. He is described as having a dark complexion and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue pants, black shoes and carrying a black bookbag.

The investigation remains ongoing.
