TRENTON, N.J. — A Middlesex County resident scored big last week, becoming the first to claim a $500,000 top prize in the Super Hot 7’s Scratch-Off Game, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

The winning $10 ticket was purchased at Wawa #914 on Ryders Lane in East Brunswick on Tuesday, March 18. It marks the first of three top prizes available in the game, leaving two $500,000 tickets still in circulation.

Three other major scratch-off wins were also reported last week. On Thursday, a $400,000 top prize from the Crossword Bonanza game was claimed in Hoboken. The $20 ticket, which was purchased at Prime Place Convenience on 1st Street, was the final top prize of that game.

On March 17, a $250,000 Crossword ticket sold at Europa Liquors in Newark marked the last of six top prizes for the $10 game. Then on March 22, a Phillipsburg player won $200,000 with a $5 “In the Green” ticket purchased at Quick Chek #69 on New Brunswick Avenue. That prize was the first of three available for that game.

The New Jersey Lottery continues to fund state programs through its revenue, contributing over $33 billion since 1970, including support for public employee pensions.
