NEW YORK, NY – A 69-year-old man was killed Saturday afternoon after being stabbed inside a building on Eldridge Street on the Lower East Side, police said. Officers from the 5th Precinct responded around 3:50 p.m. to a 911 call reporting an assault at 7 Eldridge Street, where they found the victim suffering from a stab wound to the back.

Emergency medical personnel rushed the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was later pronounced dead. Police have not released his identity pending notification of family members.
No arrests have been made, and detectives continue to investigate the motive and circumstances surrounding the attack.
