QUEENS, NY – A 67-year-old woman was injured Saturday evening after a man snatched her bag and knocked her to the ground in Woodhaven, police said.
The robbery occurred around 6 p.m. in front of 92-30 91st Avenue, where the suspect confronted the woman before forcibly taking her bag.


He then fled north on Woodhaven Boulevard on foot as the victim was left on the pavement with minor injuries.

Robbery under investigation
Police said the suspect approached the woman suddenly and yanked her bag with enough force to knock her to the ground. The victim called for help, and nearby residents contacted authorities.

EMS arrived within minutes and treated the woman for scrapes and bruises sustained during the struggle. She did not require hospitalization.
Suspect remains at large
The man fled northbound on Woodhaven Boulevard and has not been located. Detectives from the NYPD’s 102nd Precinct are reviewing surveillance video from nearby businesses and residences to identify the suspect.
