CLINTON, NJ – The Red Mill Museum Village is summoning its darkest spirits once again this October as the 34th annual Haunted Red Mill returns with its 2025 theme, “Evil Rising.”

For four weekends, the historic landmark on Main Street transforms into a nightmarish maze of terror, drawing thrill-seekers from across New Jersey.

The event, known as one of the state’s top-rated Halloween attractions, also serves as the museum’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Visitors will navigate haunted mazes, wooded trails, and a hayride along the river before entering the mill itself — a building steeped in over two centuries of ghostly lore. Organizers say “Evil Rising” will expand on the attraction’s legacy, combining new special effects with classic scares that have made it a local tradition for more than three decades.

The gates open each night once darkness fully settles, typically around 7 p.m., and ticket sales close at 10 p.m. The event operates every Friday and Saturday from October 3 through October 25. Each night continues until the final visitor exits the mill’s final haunt.

While the Haunted Village experience is not recommended for children under 10, the Red Mill also offers its “Happy Hauntings” daytime program designed for families and younger visitors. Both events contribute to the museum’s preservation efforts and ongoing community programs.
