CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Chesapeake Police are investigating a violent altercation outside a business on Portsmouth Boulevard Sunday night that left two people injured, including one with a gunshot wound.

Officers responded to the 4100 block of Portsmouth Boulevard at approximately 9:17 p.m. after receiving multiple calls about a fight in a parking lot. Additional reports indicated that gunfire had erupted during the incident, police said.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult female injured from the fight and an adult male who had been shot. Both victims were transported to nearby hospitals with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
