LAFAYETTE, TN – A months-long drug investigation led to the arrest of four suspects Wednesday after authorities discovered more than 300 grams of methamphetamine during a search at a home on Amos Circle, the Macon County Sheriff’s Office said.
The search warrant was carried out by deputies working with the 15th and 18th Judicial Drug Task Forces after a four-month probe into suspected narcotics activity in the area.
Investigators said the operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 335 grams of meth along with other evidence linked to drug distribution.
Multiple agencies coordinate in drug operation
Sheriff Mark Wilburn credited the joint task forces and local deputies for their coordination and professionalism in executing the warrant safely and effectively. The suspects were taken into custody without incident as the investigation continues.
Officials have not yet released the names of those arrested or detailed the charges they may face.
Investigation remains ongoing
Authorities said additional arrests or charges may follow pending further review of the evidence collected at the scene.
The seized methamphetamine will be submitted for analysis as part of the continuing case.
