Woman shot in broad daylight on Liberty Heights as Baltimore police search for answers

Baltimore, MD — A 68-year-old woman was shot in the middle of the day on a busy Baltimore roadway, leaving her hospitalized and prompting an active police investigation.

The shooting occurred around 1:43 p.m. April 30 in the 4700 block of Liberty Heights Avenue, according to Baltimore Police.

Responding officers located the woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.

No information about a suspect has been released, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
