NEW YORK, NY – A 47-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were shot Sunday morning while standing outside 114 West 116th Street in Harlem, within the confines of the 28th Precinct. The incident occurred around 7:39 a.m. when an unidentified man approached the pair, displayed a firearm, and began shooting before fleeing on foot to an unknown location.

Both victims were struck in the ankles and were transported by private vehicle to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where they were reported in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion, approximately 30 to 35 years old, medium build, last seen wearing all black clothing and black sunglasses.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire on two people outside a Harlem building before fleeing the scene.
