JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ – If you intend to drive down Route 571 in Jackson, the Jackson Police Department wants to make the community aware of a downed tree on the county road between Freehold Road and Leesville Road. Police reported a tree down across the roadway.
“Power outages are reported in the area as a result,” the department said. “Please follow the posted detours at Freehold and Leesville Roads as crews work to remove the tree and restore power to the area. In addition, a tree just came down in the area of 256 Perrineville Road taking out primary power lines, so power restoration in the area may be delayed.”
