HOWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ – A Howell Township police officer was injured in a crash on East Aldrich Road on Sunday evening. According to police, Howell Township Police Sergeant Popek was driving east on East Aldrich Road when a vehicle pulled out in front of him from Salem Hill Road. Popek sustained minor injuries and is currently being evaluated at the hospital. The other driver did not require medical attention. She was found to be at fault. Chief Andrew Kudrick thanked witnesses that remained on the scene to assist and provide statements to the investigating officers.
