HS WRESTLING: Toms River North Defeats Freehold Borough 41-31

Omar Farouk earned a win by technical fall over Robert Meyers at 132 pounds Wednesday as the Toms River North High School wrestling team defeated host Freehold Borough, 41-31.

The teams were more evenly matched than the final score indicated, as the Mariners were awarded 12 points on forfeits while the Colonials received only six.

James Cauldwell, Franco Galasso and Nick Renda earned pins for Toms River North. Dominic Theodosatos, John Downey and Daniel Giovinazzo had pins and Noah Weiss earned a major decision for Freehold Borough.
