Investigation Underway for Mysterious Car Theft in North Stafford

Stafford, VA – The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a peculiar vehicle theft that occurred in North Stafford. The incident revolves around a series of events involving a Honda Insight reported stolen from Castlebury Court.

On Friday at approximately 9:33 p.m., Deputy J.J. Suh was dispatched to Castlebury Court concerning a report of a missing vehicle, a Honda Insight. The victim reported the absence of his car, which was subsequently registered as stolen in law enforcement databases.

The following Saturday at around 6:35 a.m., Deputy C.M. Ramirez was called to the same residence. On this occasion, the missing Honda was found parked exactly where it had disappeared.

The vehicle appeared untouched, and it was subsequently removed from the stolen vehicles registry.

On Sunday at approximately 3:06 a.m., Deputy R.T. Philippsen responded to another call from the same location. During this incident, the victim claimed to have witnessed the suspect returning the vehicle an hour after it was initially taken at around 2:06 a.m.

The victim pursued the suspect on foot from the scene to the 200 block of Fair Oaks Avenue.
