Ocean County lottery player strikes $475K Jersey Cash 5 jackpot on Thursday night

TRENTON, NJ – One lucky ticket holder in Ocean County woke up thousands of dollars richer Friday after hitting the $475,249 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot in Thursday night’s drawing, marking the 63rd time this year the top prize has been claimed.

The winning ticket was sold at Bay Avenue Farm on East Bay Avenue in Manahawkin, a small store that will now pocket a $2,000 retailer bonus for selling the ticket that matched all five numbers: 10, 15, 30, 39, and 41. The Bullseye number was 15, and the XTRA multiplier was 02.

The prize pool didn’t stop at the top winner. Another 28 players matched four of the five numbers and the Bullseye, netting $500 each. Of those, seven players had opted in for the XTRA feature, which doubled their winnings to $1,000.

This marks the latest in a string of sizable wins in New Jersey’s popular daily draw game, which continues to draw interest with its frequent six-figure jackpots. As of Friday, the top prize has reset to $150,000 for the next drawing.

The winning ticket has not yet been claimed, and the identity of the new jackpot winner has not been revealed. All New Jersey Lottery winners have up to one year from the draw date to come forward.
