MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Federal authorities have arrested one suspect connected to the vandalism and theft of government property from FBI vehicles in Minneapolis following a coordinated law enforcement operation Thursday evening. Officials said the suspect, identified as a known member of the Latin Kings gang with a violent criminal history, was taken into custody without incident after agents executed a federal warrant.

The arrest comes less than 24 hours after multiple government vehicles were broken into and vandalized in North Minneapolis. The FBI released a public “seeking information” notice earlier Thursday, offering a reward of up to $100,000 for details leading to the recovery of stolen federal property or the arrest of those involved. Photos distributed by investigators showed damaged FBI vehicles with shattered windows, spray-painted exteriors, and evidence of items taken from inside.

Federal officials confirmed that the investigation remains active and that additional arrests are expected. In a statement, the bureau credited the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Department of Justice, and Attorney General Pam Bondi’s office for assisting in the swift apprehension of the first suspect.

“The message is clear,” an FBI spokesperson said Thursday night. “Any individual who attacks law enforcement or vandalizes federal property paid for by hardworking taxpayers will be found and arrested.”
