LINDEN, NJ — A 24-year-old Linden man was injured Friday night after his motorized bicycle collided with an SUV on W. Elizabeth Avenue, police reported.

The crash occurred just after 10:00 p.m. on January 10 in the 500 block of W. Elizabeth Avenue. Preliminary investigations indicate that the man was riding east in the westbound lane when he collided with a westbound 2006 Acura SUV.

Emergency responders treated the bicyclist at the scene before transporting him to Newark University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The SUV’s driver, a 76-year-old man from Rahway, was not injured in the incident.
