Boston, MA – On Tuesday at approximately 7:56 PM, Juan Pimentel, 44, was arrested in Roxbury after police responded to reports of an individual with a gun at 69 McGreevey Way. Officers from District B-2 received the report following an alert from a security officer who witnessed the suspect displaying a firearm.

According to authorities, the security officer observed the suspect on the building’s security cameras. The individual, identified as Pimentel, was pacing in the lobby and confronting people entering the premises. The security officer’s concern grew after observing Pimentel remove a firearm from his waistband and enter an apartment.

Police approached the apartment after the suspect entered and announced their presence. Following an initial investigation upon the suspect answering the door, the building’s additional security personnel discovered a firearm outside in the grass below a window near the suspect’s apartment.

The firearm, a Taurus G3, 9mm with no magazine inserted, was checked and found to have been reported stolen in New Hampshire.
