Man Arrested After Stabbing Multiple People, Including Elderly Man in Queens

QUEENS, NY – A series of stabbing incidents in Queens, has led to the arrest of 27-year-old Jermain Rigueur.

The incidents began on January 8, when a 61-year-old man was stabbed in the back at 157 Street & 137 Avenue. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

On January 16, around midnight, a 34-year-old woman was stabbed in the torso near 158 Street & 134 Avenue. She was hospitalized in stable condition.

On January 17, two separate stabbings occurred within minutes of each other. A 74-year-old man was stabbed in the back near 161-05 134 Avenue, and shortly after, a 41-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the abdomen on 134-17 161 Street. Both were transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition. The same day, a 36-year-old man was stabbed at Parsons Boulevard and Archer Avenue.

Rigueur faces charges including attempted murder, assault, attempted assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. The NYPD continues their investigation and requests anyone with additional information to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or online.
