PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office has announced the arrest of Evgenii Sadrislamov for allegedly manufacturing improvised explosive devices in his residence. The arrest was made public on Wednesday following an investigation at his Mayfair home.

Sadrislamov faces charges including Arson, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Causing Catastrophe, and Possession of an Instrument of Crime. The investigation began Friday evening when the Philadelphia Fire Department and police responded to a fire at a row home on the 7100 block of Montague Street.

Smoke was observed coming from the garage and inside the residence. Authorities conducted a search after evacuating the residents, discovering materials used in creating incendiary devices.

The situation was declared a HAZMAT scene, leading to the involvement of agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Department of Homeland Security. A search warrant facilitated the discovery of several improvised devices and explosive powders in the basement and garage. Approximately 50 pounds of explosives were confiscated. Investigators noted the potential for significant destruction if the materials had ignited.
