A 29-year-old man is in critical condition after being stabbed Saturday evening in Philadelphia’s 24th District, police said.

Officers responded at approximately 7:26 p.m. to the 2000 block of Pickwick Street, where they found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. Police immediately transported the man to Temple University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity. The circumstances leading up to the stabbing have not been made public.

A person of interest was taken into custody at the scene and is being questioned by investigators. It is not yet clear if that individual will face charges.
