Robbery reported in Northeast DC as police search for three suspects
Washington, DC – Just after midnight on Wednesday, police responded to a robbery in the 3500 block of Hayes Street NE, launching a search for three suspects—one male and two females—believed to be involved in the incident.
According to a crime alert issued by the Metropolitan Police Department’s 6th District shortly after midnight, the primary suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male with a light complexion, last seen wearing dark grey jeans. He was accompanied by two Black females whose descriptions have not been released at this time.
The incident took place within the boundaries of Police Service Areas (PSA) 601 to 608, a part of the department’s 6th District which covers neighborhoods across Northeast Washington.
There is no word yet on whether anyone was injured or what, if anything, was taken during the robbery. Police have not released any further details about the suspects’ direction of travel or whether a vehicle was involved.
Investigators continue to search for the suspects and are urging the public not to approach anyone matching the descriptions.
