New York, NY – In a swift and coordinated rescue operation, officers from the NYPD’s 17th Precinct, along with the NYPD Special Operations Harbor Unit and the FDNY, saved a person from drowning in the East River.

Responding to emergency 911 calls, the NYPD 17th Precinct officers were alerted about an individual floating in the East River. The NYPD Special Operations Harbor Unit was immediately dispatched to the location. With the crucial assistance of the FDNY, the teams worked together to successfully pull the individual from the water.
