Man Shot In Northwest, D.C., Suspect Arrested

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Early Saturday morning, a man was shot in Northwest, D.C. The D.C. Metro Police Fourth District heard gunshots shortly after 3 am. When they arrived at the 7400 Block of Georgia Avenue, they discovered an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was brought to a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

The victim was identified as 37-year-old Horacio Rose Daniel Jr. of D.C. According to police, the victim was arrested for carrying a pistol without a license, possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of unregistered ammunition, and a felon in possession.

The suspect was also found and arrested. He is identified as 30-year-old Kristian Allen of Maryland. He was arrested for the shooting, as well as carrying a pistol without a license, possession of an unregistered firearm, and possession of unregistered ammunition. Allen was also charged with another offense from August 19th that took place on 300 Block of Franklin Street in Northeast, D.C. He was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm and destruction of property from the August incident.
