BROOKLYN, NY – A 48-year-old man was killed in a stabbing Wednesday evening following a violent confrontation on Sutter Avenue, police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress around 5:32 p.m. within the area of the 73rd Precinct and Police Service Area 2.
When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds across his body.
Emergency Medical Services rushed the man to One Brooklyn Health–Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police identified the victim as Kevin Coleman, 48, of Brooklyn.
Investigators search for suspect in fatal assault
No arrests have been made, and detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Authorities have not released details about a possible motive or suspect description as the inquiry remains active.
