BRONX, N.Y. — A Manhattan man has been indicted on charges of murder, manslaughter, and weapon possession in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 35-year-old man in the lobby of a Bronx apartment building last month, Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced Tuesday.

Dynus Saxon, also known as Isaiah James Bennett, 20, of Lexington Avenue, Manhattan, was arraigned on December 3 before Bronx Supreme Court Justice Brenda Rivera. Saxon, described as a fashion model, is accused of repeatedly stabbing and assaulting Kadeem Grant during a violent altercation on November 10 at 384 Grand Concourse.

“This heinous, brutal attack was caught on camera. We will seek justice for the victim,” said District Attorney Clark in a statement.

According to investigators, both Saxon and Grant had gone to visit the same tenant in the building. When Saxon was asked to leave, he allegedly launched a deadly attack on Grant. Surveillance footage from the building reportedly shows Saxon stabbing Grant multiple times in the neck and body before punching, kicking, and stomping on him. He then allegedly plunged the knife into Grant’s chest.

Grant was transported to New York Health + Hospitals Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead. Saxon reportedly sustained cuts to his hand during the incident.

Saxon has been remanded and is scheduled to appear in court again on April 3, 2025.
