Masked bandits tie up two women, steal over $1m in queens home invasion robbery

QUEENS, N.Y. — The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying six individuals wanted in connection to a high-value robbery that took place last Wednesday in Richmond Hill, where more than $1 million in luxury goods were stolen during a violent home invasion.

According to police, five suspects forced their way into a residence near Mayfair Road and 116th Street at approximately 7:36 p.m., where they assaulted and restrained two women before ransacking the property.

Authorities said the crew pushed a 53-year-old woman to the ground and bound both her and a 36-year-old woman with tape. The suspects then looted the home, taking jewelry, designer purses, clothing, and other items totaling approximately $1,105,000 in value.

The suspects fled the scene with a sixth unidentified individual, who was waiting in a white 2021 Toyota RAV4, and escaped to an unknown destination. No injuries were reported during the incident.

Surveillance footage and images of the individuals and vehicle involved have been released by the NYPD and are available through the department’s public information office.

The investigation remains ongoing and police are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
