Multiple People Assaulted by Same Suspect on University Avenue

BRONX, NY – In two separate incidents on University Avenue, two individuals were assaulted in unprovoked attacks on Friday night. The first assault occurred at 2265 University Avenue around 8:10 PM. A 49-year-old man was attacked from behind and knocked to the ground. The assailant then struck him with an object and attempted to gouge his eyes.

Moments later, the same attacker targeted a 52-year-old woman in front of 2324 University Avenue, slashing her forehead with an object. The suspect fled north on University Avenue towards Fordham Road after both incidents.

The victims, sustaining non-life-threatening facial injuries, were transported to Saint Barnabus Hospital in stable condition.

Police are seeking a male suspect with a light complexion, thin build, black hair, and a black mustache. He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants, and black and gray socks.

Investigations are ongoing as authorities seek more information regarding the suspect’s identity and motive. Witnesses or individuals with relevant information are encouraged to contact local law enforcement.
