Myrtle Beach, SC — A late-night firearm incident in Myrtle Beach led to a heavy police response as officers served both an arrest warrant and a search warrant, authorities announced.
The incident began around 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of 1st Avenue South, where officers were called after a report of a suspect pointing and presenting a firearm.
Police secured the scene, but no one was taken into custody. Investigators have since identified Michael Ray Thompson, 48, of Myrtle Beach, as the individual responsible.
Suspect on the run
Thompson is wanted on charges of Pointing and Presenting a Firearm and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, police said.
