TOMS RIVER, NJ – The Ocean County Board of Commissioners is moving forward with plans to rebuild Brewers Bridge in Jackson Township, authorizing the acquisition of land needed to complete the long-anticipated infrastructure project.
The county approved the acquisition of right-of-way and easement parcels along Brewers Bridge Road to allow for the reconstruction of the bridge spanning the South Branch of the Metedeconk River.
Officials said the project is essential to improving safety and maintaining a critical roadway link in the township’s transportation network.

The Brewers Bridge structure, designated No. 1511-005, carries local traffic over the South Branch of the Metedeconk River and has long been targeted for replacement due to structural age and wear. The reconstruction will include a new bridge deck, modern safety features, and improved drainage.
