BRONX, NY – An off-duty New York City police officer was arrested Thursday night and charged with multiple crimes, including rape and endangering the welfare of a child, officials said.

Police said the arrest occurred around 8:23 p.m. within the confines of the 45th Precinct.

The officer has been identified as 27-year-old Ndegnior Kpan.
