UPPER MARLBORO, MD — The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle that occurred on August 22, 2024. The victim has been identified as 69-year-old Roger Ferguson of Upper Marlboro.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 7:15 p.m. in the area of Landover Road near Route 50. Ferguson was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving. The driver involved in the crash was not injured.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Ferguson and the other driver collided in the southbound lanes of Landover Road. The exact cause of the collision remains under investigation.
