NEW YORK, NY – Detectives with the NYPD’s 19th Precinct have arrested a man who beat a 52-year-old man walking his dog in Upper Manhattan. The attack happened near East 90th Street and First Avenue.
31-year-old Sherred Johnson of the Bronx was charged with assault after he beat a man who asked him to slow down after he was observed driving his motorcycle recklessly in the presence of children and other pedestrians.
“While the victim was on the ground, the male individual continued to strike him a few more times in the face and body with his hands before fleeing eastbound on East 90th Street and then making a left on First Avenue and northbound towards East 91st Street,” the NYPD DCPI said in a statement. “The victim was removed to Cornell Hospital in stable condition.”
