NEW YORK — Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly groped and assaulted a woman aboard an MTA bus in Manhattan earlier this month, the NYPD said.
The incident occurred on Thursday, June 5, at approximately 2:00 p.m. on an M101 bus. According to police, a 33-year-old female passenger was approached from behind by an unidentified man who touched her buttocks.

When the victim confronted the man, he punched her in the head before fleeing the scene on foot. Emergency Medical Services responded and treated the woman on site for minor injuries.
Suspect description released
The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 28 to 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with a slim build, a thin black mustache, and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, black pants, white shoes, and carrying a black bookbag.
The NYPD has not made any arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.
