Police search for suspects in Bronx assault and car theft

BRONX, N.Y. — Police are investigating an assault and car theft that occurred early Sunday morning in the Belmont neighborhood of the Bronx. According to authorities, a 28-year-old man was attacked by three unidentified individuals near Park Avenue and East 187th Street.

The incident took place at approximately 4:55 a.m. on Sept. 1. Police reported that the victim was approached by the three individuals, who engaged him in a dispute before striking him. One of the suspects then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

Descriptions of the suspects have been released. The first individual is described as having an athletic build, with long black hair and a beard, wearing a white T-shirt, blue ripped jeans, and white sneakers. The second suspect is described as slim, with a beard, wearing a black T-shirt, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers. The third individual is also described as slim, wearing a black T-shirt, black Yankees baseball cap, gray jeans, and black sneakers.

The victim did not sustain serious injuries. The NYPD is continuing its search for the suspects and the stolen vehicle.
