Galloway Township, NJ – Police are asking for the public’s help to reunite a lost dog with its owner after officers found the animal wandering near Jimmie Leeds Road and Ridgewood Avenue on Sunday.

The Galloway Township Police Department said the dog, a light brown Labrador Retriever with a graying muzzle, appeared to be taking what they described as a “midday stroll” when located by officers. The friendly dog was safely secured and brought to the station while authorities attempt to find where it belongs.

Officials are urging anyone who recognizes the dog or knows its owner to contact police at 609-652-3705. The department shared a photo of the animal on social media, hoping that community members can help bring it home.

No collar or identifying tags were mentioned, and police did not indicate whether the dog has a microchip.
