BRONX, NY — Police are searching for two unidentified individuals who opened fire behind a Bronx building Thursday evening before fleeing the scene on foot, authorities said.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred around 6:55 p.m. on May 1 in the rear of 1368 Webster Avenue. Both suspects reportedly displayed and discharged a firearm multiple times before escaping the area.

The suspects were last seen heading eastbound on East 170th Street and entering 1385 Washington Avenue, police said. No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.

The first individual is described as a male with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, a black and gray backpack, and black and white sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a male who was wearing a black facemask, black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and dark-colored sneakers.

Investigation ongoing into gunfire incident in Bronx

The NYPD is urging anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

Despite multiple gunshots being fired, no bystanders or property damage have been reported as of Saturday.
