JACKSON, NJ – Six Flags Great Adventure is preparing for its golden anniversary with an extensive lineup of attractions and events for 2024. Announced by Park President Brian Bacica, the 50th-anniversary celebration will feature a new roller coaster, a luxury safari experience, and nostalgic upgrades among other offerings.

Highlights of the 50th Anniversary plans include:

  • THE FLASH™: Vertical Velocity – In collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and DC, this super boomerang coaster promises to rush riders forward and backward at nearly 60 mph through twisted drops and zero-G rolls.
  • Luxury Safari Experience – Savannah Sunset Resort & Spa will offer an authentic African lodging experience set within the 350-acre Wild Safari Park. The luxury “glamping” includes scenic vistas, spa services, and VIP dining.
  • Safari Off-Road Adventure – Replacing the current Wild Safari Drive-Thru Adventure, the revamped Safari will offer guided tours for a more personalized safari experience. Guests can board off-road vehicles at Frontier Adventures in the theme park or the main Wild Safari entrance.
  • Anniversary Bricks and Keepsake – Guests can purchase a commemorative brick that will be part of a new pathway at the original entrance of the theme park.
  • Nostalgic Upgrades – Six Flags will refurbish two original park favorites, the Log Flume and the iconic Big Wheel, as a tribute to the park’s history.

In addition, Six Flags has launched the Biggest Sale of the Year, which includes discounts of up to 70% on season passes and tickets available until September 5. These passes will grant access to new 2024 features as well as the remainder of the 2023 season, including the popular Six Flags Fright Fest.

These enhancements represent the park’s largest investment in nearly two decades and aim to solidify Six Flags Great Adventure as a leading destination in the Northeast.
