Six Johnson City businesses cited for serving alcohol to underage buyers

JOHNSON CITY, NY – Johnson City Police reported six businesses have been cited for selling alcohol to underage patrons.

The Johnson City Police Department issued the following release:

Recently, the JCPD conducted a sting operation focusing on illegal sales of alcoholic beverages to people under 21 years of age. Our goal is to crackdown on underage drinking by ensuring local retail stores are complying with New York State’s Alcohol Beverage Control laws. The sting involved the use of an underage person who made attempts to purchase alcohol at the following locations in Johnson City. 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗕𝗖 𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲.
