Stafford, VA — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, led by Sheriff David “DP” Decatur, has released the daily incident report for June 18, 2024.

Disturbance: On June 16, at 4:47 PM, Deputy E.L. Shelton responded to a disturbance on Kings Highway. A male suspect threw a rock at a truck but missed, hitting a King George County deputy’s cruiser instead. The suspect was charged with throwing a missile at a moving vehicle and released on personal recognizance.

Larceny: At 2:11 PM on June 16, Deputy F.A. Martinez responded to a larceny at AT&T, 1495 Stafford Marketplace, where staff reported three individuals stole phones.

Later, at 3:06 PM, Deputy J.A. Albright responded to a larceny at Walmart, 11 Village Parkway. A female suspect was observed concealing items in her purse and making multiple trips to her vehicle with stolen goods since 9:00 AM. She was charged with shoplifting and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1,500 secured bond.

Public Intoxication: On June 17, at 6:56 PM, Sergeant E.E. West and Deputy S.A. Hensley responded to an intoxicated person call at Dunkin Donuts, 551 Warrenton Road. A female suspect displayed unusual behaviors and showed signs of intoxication. She was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

At 9:47 PM, Sergeant E.E. West and Deputy R.L. Hubbard responded to a call at Target, 25 South Gateway Drive, regarding a man needing help finding a Greyhound bus. The intoxicated caller was singing at the customer service desk. He resisted detention and was charged with public intoxication and obstruction of justice. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

At 10:16 PM, Deputy S. Waheed responded to an altercation on Shields Road. A caller reported his family was withholding his car keys due to his intoxication. The suspect was found intoxicated in public and charged with public intoxication, then held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to encourage residents to report suspicious activities and cooperate with law enforcement to maintain community safety.
