Subway Slashing at Livonia Avenue Station in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY – On Tuesday, November 14, a 22-year-old man suffered a neck laceration in a slashing incident aboard a southbound “L” train near Livonia Avenue subway station. The attack occurred at approximately 2:40 PM.

Authorities report the assailant, an unidentified male, confronted the victim on the train. He slashed the victim’s neck with a box cutter before fleeing the scene. The suspect exited the train at Livonia Avenue station and his current whereabouts are unknown.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and treated the victim for his injuries.

The suspect is described as a 25-year-old male, 5’10” in height, weighing around 170 lbs. He was last observed wearing a black du-rag, a purple hooded sweatshirt with white letters, and carrying a dark-colored backpack.

The investigation is ongoing and law enforcement is seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has knowledge of the suspect’s whereabouts.
