Washington, D.C.—The second suspect involved in a March shooting that resulted in two deaths and one injury in Southeast D.C. has been charged, according to detectives from the Homicide Branch.

On Tuesday, March 7, at approximately 7:44 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to a shooting in the 2700 block of Bruce Place, Southeast. Upon arrival, officers found two men with gunshot wounds. Dana Faulkner, 23, of Southeast, died at the scene. The other victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after, officers responded to the intersection of Wheeler Road and Mississippi Avenue, Southeast, where they found Abdul Fuller, 15, of Southeast, critically injured by gunshot wounds. Fuller was taken to a local hospital and died on March 9. Investigations revealed Fuller was injured in the Bruce Place shooting.

On December 21, a 19-year-old man from Northeast D.C. was arrested by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated).

On Friday, a 17-year-old male from Northeast D.C. was transported to MPD’s Juvenile Processing Center after extradition from Jacksonville, FL. He has been charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed in the death of Dana Faulkner.
