QUEENS, NY – A 14-year-old girl was assaulted in broad daylight last week near 184th Street and Horace Harding Expressway, prompting a police search for the suspect, authorities said.
The attack occurred around 11:17 a.m. Wednesday, when the victim was approached by an unidentified man who suddenly punched her in the face before running off westbound along the expressway.
The girl suffered minor facial injuries but did not require hospitalization, according to investigators.
Police release description of suspect
The suspect is described as a male last seen wearing a blue baseball hat, a blue jacket, gray pants, and gray sneakers.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the assault or the man’s identity to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline.
